Typical classical hatha yoga classes as taught in the Sivananda tradition follows a sequence of yoga postures (asanas), deep relaxation practices, and breathing exercises (pranayama).

The class will end with mantra repetition and chanting.
ABOUT MARIA MALEK
An experienced registered yoga teacher who grew in a Yogic environment with her Yogi mother and teacher, Irene. Immersed in the practice from a very early age, she naturally decided to take yoga to the next level.
Mahadevi obtained her Yoga Teaching Certification (and her name) from the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Meenakshi Ashram in South India in 2014. Wanting to take the teachings even deeper, in 2015 she completed her Advanced Teacher Training at the Sivananda Yoga Ranch in upstate New York.
She practices and teaches Classical Hatha Yoga, following the Sivananda tradition.
